Our mission is to treat every animal as an individual and offer the highest standards in veterinary care regardless of the socio-economic status of the family. We're pleased to offer the following services at Merrill Animal Clinic for dogs and cats:
- In-person or drop off appointments
-Preventive medicine
-Surgeries
- Radiographs
-On-site laboratory
-Boarding
-Bathing service.
We do recommend scheduling an appointment with our receptionists and the team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.
Emergencies are accepted during business hours but may require a transfer to a true emergency center pending the case. Emergencies can be things such as accidental ingestion of rat poison, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Please be patient with our team when we are dealing with difficult situations.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments if able. We do allow owners to drop off their pet at no additional fee.
Adoption and Relinquishment
We are not an adoption facility. If you are looking to add a new fur-baby to your family or can no longer care for your pet we recommend contacting Jacksonville Humane Society or Animal Care and Protective Services of Jacksonville. Any individual that abandons a pet at our facility will be prosecuted for animal neglect.
